brought to you by design studio fwis and inspired by japanese medicom toys, readymech are free, flatpack toys for you to print and build. they are designed to fit on an A4 page and printed with any printer. only tools required are double sided tape, thick matte papre and 10-15 to assemble.

led bouquet

from design company tayo comes the havaleena led torch. the simple cyclindrical shape make these glowing torches both portable and flexible in its uses and display. they come bundled as a bouquet in a vase. as well as being energy efficient, each torch can be used separately or attached to a aluminum base to create a floorlamp, as well as coming with four different colour filters.

toasta

from designer george watson comes the toasta. the toaster has been reinvented from something to hide in a cupboard to a social activity once again. it has been redesigned to engage the user. the intricate sculptural form is made of moulded bone china and the result is an iconic playful object worthy of its place on the kitchen table. via designboom

canadian designers Muhammad moussa and rick shean have released their debut lighting collection aer. available in floor, table, horizontal, mini and candle versions they are carefully crafted of unglazed clay and maple base. aer’s abstract negative space creates a warm glow within the fixture while projecting elegant patterns onto its surrounding surfaces.

french design studio anna gram have produced ceramic for mix. the design includes a ceramic ball for mixing milk and sugar into hot beverages, eliminating the need for a spoon. the indent in the bottom of the glass has been designed to hold the ball when it is not in motion.

bronco and corral designed by dirk wynants for extremis. “corral is a rotation moulded polyethylene table that gathers 7 bronco stools. It also incorporates a lighting unit into the table turning it into a lighting object as well, can even be hung from the ceiling.

from us with love is inspired by the interaction between people and products. jelly friends is “quietly pulsating light armature that interacts with the user and reacts when someone comes near. the jellyfish shaped body is moulded in silicone and comes with adjustable silicone cord legs that enables a unique expression of each jellyfriend.”

klobs designed by karim rashid for tubor is more a sculpture than a radiator it is available in stand alone and in line versions. the radiator is made up moving tubular elements which radiate heat and act as towel rails.

the stunning blow table lamp by studio italia design features a low voltage lamp in a chrome and brushed aluminum finish encased in a clear crystal globe.  lamp direction is controlled via a magnetic on teh outside of the clear globe. not only functional but definately a work of art.
