italian fire

“Characterized from a mouth that receive the fire is formed by a varnished steel piaster cut with the laser, and from a central chimney, that place it like a focal point of the space and not more than a complement relegatedin marginal spaces. Drop, is an object that feel itself too pressed into an usual definition of fireplace, but become a suspended body in a home like an active, dynamic and mutable ambient, and very good to interpret ourmemory but also harmonically and in an integrated mode the exigencies of the future.”

the designers of dutchtub aim to bring outdoor bathing back into popularity and bring people closer together. the dutchtub is a portable outdoor bathtub that’ll fit in the back of the SUV and as it is heated up by burning wood in it’s bucket, it requires no electricity. a must for your next outdoor party and camping trips if you want a good soak under the stars.

this proves good design is enduring. this 1968’s grasshopper lounger designed by fabricius & kasthlom still looks contemporary today. this unique piece of furniture was produced in a time when design, quality, and function form a synthesis.

diamond sofa

italian designers sand & birch have developed a limited edition furnishing. the diamond sofa is made of mirror-like aluminium and adorning the wide strip is a pattern of Swarovski crystals, as well as a built-in LED or flourescent lamp. this reflective aluminum sofa is designed to be a dynamic sculpture as well as a functional two-in-one piece that also saves space. Only one hundred of the numbered edition have been produced.

Structurelab S1 sunshade system

The distinctive shape of the S1 is defined by the freely curved textile membrane which is held up only from the top. The umbrella creates a space of unique atmosphere by day and night, when the S1 turns into a striking luminous sculpture by the use of a simple spotlight. The Structurelab S1 is available in a variety of shapes, colours and sizes. The S1 – awarded with the red dot design award 2006 - combines harmonic aesthetics with precise technology and defines a new era in the fields of outdoor sun shading devices.

iBar is a system for the interactive design of any bar-counter. Integrated video-projectors can project any content on the milky bar-surface. The intelligent tracking system of iBar detects all objects touching the surface. This input is used to let the projected content interact dynamically with the movements on the counter. Objects can be illuminated at their position or virtual objects can be “touched” with the fingers.”

Ova’s 21 unglazed white bone china forms are internally lit with a loom of LED lights, infusing the cascade of organic, pebble-like structures with incandescence. A discreet white hemispherical mounting assembly contains the mains transformer and affixes to the ceiling.”

reeds

Reeds by artemide is a bollard lamp for decorative illumination and signalation. Seven thin, very light and flexible filaments made of glass fibre are installed on the lamp’s circular base. A white LED has been attached to the tip of these filaments, which lights the upper part of the brace. The fine filaments move in the slightest breath of wind, thus creating an interesting play of light.
